The Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons Meeting. Tuesday 11th June 2022 |
|
Grand Temple 60, Great Queen Street, London |
|
Over 1300 Mark Masons attended the meeting and what a brilliant site it made in the Temple, before the meeting opened you could feel the buzz from everyone present, especially all the members who were receiving First Time Honours, Promotions and the Acting officers for the ensuing year, including a new AGM R.W. Bro. Francis C. Spencer.
Set off early as usual caught the 8.30 train from Piccadilly, had a great seat (not) instead of a window I had a blank piece of plastic wall, mind you if I squinted I could see a quarter of a window but unfortunately the lovely lady who was sat there spent the whole trip with her head resting on it !! Ah well you win some you lose some. Soon jumped in a cab and was followed by two other Masons who asked would it be alright if they joined us, I said certainly, as it happened, they paid for the trip and wouldn’t accept half the fare.
As I have said many times before if you have never made the trip the next meeting will be in September, all Mark Masons can attend, just get one of your friends to go along with you and have a great day out, have a look at Trainline where tickets are quite reasonable if you book well in advance. One word of advice though if you like a drink don’t be too shocked at the prices, shall we say double or even a little bit more, the first time I got a Gin and Tonic and the barman asked for the payment I said, “no I only want one”, he said “that is the price for one, I bet your from up North”.

Just check out the pictures and you will see what a great time everyone has at Freemasons Hall in London and in the two watering holes opposite, The Pillars and the George, always a good place for a drink and a good old chin wag before setting off for the train. Had a great seat coming homing home, nice big table and comfy seats but just as the train started to move an unknown Mason suddenly plonked himself down opposite and I’m not kidding he didn’t shut up until, he exited at Stoke, if only it had been Milton Keynes, ah well you can’t win em all.
Have a great summer break, stay in touch with all your friends in the Mark / RAM and of course with your family and especially anyone living on their own. I’m looking forward to seeing old friends and those I have yet to meet at my next meeting. Hope to see you all at the Mark Ball on Saturday 29th October if you’ve not booked in yet do it now “You’ll have A Ball” (sorry for that one).
